My daughter remembered that my mother wore Evening in Paris, and gifted me with a sample of this, along with a few other samples, for my birthday. I still have one of her beautiful cobalt blue perfume bottles - at least sixty years old now. And oh, how the memories came rushing back, like Proust with his madeleine: my elegant, sophisticated mother in her dressing room, getting ready for an evening out as I watched, starry eyed. Sometimes she'd even spray a little on me. Heaven! I will alway love this classic perfume for the evocative memories, but I think it stands on it's own for any generation. There's a reason it was once so beloved, along with Chanel No.5 (my mother wore both), and it's now on my growing list of must-have Nantucket scents.
So pleased with the unique profile, I am captivated by this perfume! This is an elegant, vintage scent in every way; think dressing table powder, warm floral, soft musk. Evokes femininity and maturity. I was given an empty, antique perfume bottle as a child that had belonged to my great grandmother and the old scent still lingered. I could no longer find it in production, so this recreated scent is a gift of a beautiful memory come alive again.
I have never smelled this fragrance before. I was told my grandmother wore this. Smells good in the bottle.
